Author's Note

Hello, there. I am Mason (full name: José Roberto Mason), and I am Brazilian.

Ordained a priest when I was 50 years old, I am, above all, a person like you. I love to read (good at it), and I love to write (getting to it).

My first college education was philosophy. When I was 30 years old I moved to the USA and lived there for 8 years, where I worked and started to learn english. Back to Brazil I became a teacher of English Language for 5 years. My second college degree was theology. I lived a little more than one year in Colombia, where I learned to speak Spanish quite well.

I have a great deal of curiosity and read about every subject possible, religious related or not. My latest achievement in life has been to travel as a backpacker, a marvelous experience. I have been to Europe twice and traveled in Brazil three times, always a whole month (vacation) with only a backpack as material possession. Holstels had been my lodging during my last five vacation.

Every day I write a good deal of specific texts related to my secreterial work, like news, reports, messages, protocols, etc. I regularly write articles about religion and spirituality for sites, blogs, and some magazines, always in Portuguese. Lately I have ventured in writing essays and/or reflective articles about any kind of subject that interests me.

My goal is to write with a purpose to express my feelings and thoughts about the world and life so I can help people consciously become better human beings.
